Weather and birds finally cooperated this morning to produce a 65 bird shoot. We had our 35 bird limit of dark geese by 8 and finished out the day with 30 more white ones.

I had no idea that you could shoot that many geese down there! Anyone got outfitter suggestions? I've got to get in on some of that.

Very rare to shoot that many geese. Wheather conditions were perfect and new birds. If you are thinking about booking a goose hunte, don't expect to just show-up and be able to shoot that many birds.

Good shoot guys!

As much as I would like to disagree with you, are correct. The fog lined up nice for us and we were able to get on the white ones. As far as new birds, I haven't seen it make a difference this year. With only one strong front, these birds had a lot of time to get shot at up north. Also, the lack of young birds isn't helping in the least bit.

Snow goose gloom and doom aside, there are plenty of Specks and Canadas to fill out the bags! grin

Yeah, I don't care about the snows, I just want to knock out some canadas and specks. What's the limit down there?

3 Canada Geese and 2 Specks in the East Zone. The original poster was hunting in the East Zone.

4 Canada Geese and 1 Speck in the West Zone.

I bet that was a gas!! I went on my first goose hunt last year, we saw many but could not get them to decoy, I shot one and was lucky to get that shot, only shot I took.
