This is a shot of my families new "farm" (20ac.) I have been looking it over hard and after walking the property these are the setups I've come up with. Before you guys rib me on hunting 2 guns on 20 acres realize these spots are meant to be alternated never hunted at the same time. The map shows how I'd like to work the land and get this place into shape also for ag exemption.

Please give me your thoughts and input I greatly appreciate it.

looks good except looks like blind one will be shooting toward the neighboring property.

this is my Mom and step dads new place but it is truly a family place. I cant afford to purchase my own place outright just yet at the age of 25, but this is a start for our family I'm proud for them.

The blinds would never be hunted at the same time. Also there are about 300 acres on either side of us and a neighbor to the south on about 700 heavy wooded acres. these are the immediate neighbors. This place is about 1 mile from any county roads. the road to enter this place is an easement road. its pretty secluded.

Should you switch blind and feeder 1 with each other, putting the feeder up close to the thicker area? Is that area elevated?

Blind 1 is on a hilltop looking down into the draw where the feeder would be and the thick area would be in a low lying area I could watch down the fenceline. I agree though its hard to tell from the arial on elevation changes. thanks teamone

If you put blind one on a high enough tower you could hunt the entire place from it!!

jjandcompany this place is outside of Brownwood. High deer density in this area I plan on only taking 1 or 2 deer a year off this place.

I saw this epside of Drury Outdoors where these two guys took two huge bucks, like 160" +, off a 12 acre farm they bought up in WI. Don't underestimate what you can do with your own slice of heaven there. And good luck to you!

To me, what you do on your land is fine with me. I wouldn't give a hoot what other people think. There not paying the note on the land. MY opinon.

Thanks, Jigfish

Looks great to me! You're lucky you got a place down there that's got a little open land to go with all the brushy mess. Good luck!

If you flip Blind 1 with feeder 1 then you wouldn't ever walk by your feeder to get to your stand, if there are deer at the feeder when it's time to get out of the blind then you wouldn't have to walk by them and vice versa deer (deer being there when you get in your blind) It might give them a safer feeling? Just a thought, congrats on the family ranch.
