When we head to the coast my girl, sometimes will get her paws chewed up on some oyster shells. I need to find some booties that will stay on her. Any suggestions?

Thanks

Duct tape. The dog will hate you for wrapping duct tape on their feet and they will walk funny on dry ground but it is the best protection for dogs when they are hunting around oyster beds.

You can use pretaping foam (the stuff they use to wrap ankles with under the adhesive athletic tape) under most of the duct tape to make removal easier. Just be careful when cutting the tape off.

I have seen dog boots come off during a hunt in the salt and the cuts on a dog's foot from the oyster shells can be pretty bad.

All the boots I have ever bought suck and don't stay on. The only thing that works is a piece of a bike tire. Stick the paw in one end and fold the other en up, then duct tape it around th top to hold both ends. Good luck
