So I was sitting here making a list of birds I'd like to take/haven't taken and I just now realized I have NEVER shot a spoonbill. I have hunted for a solid 12 years now I haven't even been on a hunt where a bootlip was harvested.
Going to have to add a spoonie to the list. Laugh all you want...never shot one though and I'm sure they'll be just fine as jerky..

GR_Elliot can help you laugh it up Wal this year I am losing the title of the spoonie killer, not going to mention any names but there is a guy and his son that are quickly becoming known as the "spoon platoon" around these parts
Attention rickym, this is not a troll post, just a good hearted fun type of post

Nothing is worse than a ringer burb! Guy. Try this out the next time you shoot a Ringer. Cut the Ringer breast into chunks. Add a Mallard and a Teal to the mix (cut into chunks as well). Place in a bowl of water and then add LOTS of salt. Mix well, cover the bowl with foil and place into the refrigerator. Let sit for a day or two. Take the meat out and rinse well. Then cook however you like ducks. I betcha you will not be able to tell the difference between any of the ducks. Disclaimer...........Soaking Spoonies in salt water still does not make them edible.
