poachers are indeed a problem everywhere......TPWD is not spending money studying the deer population in collin county.....but much like anything else that gets ignored....it's not a problem until it becomes a problem... the deer will get everyones attention....if deer are being killed on the roads/highways....it will only take a fatal crash to spot light the growing deer herd in the area....prayerfully it won't come to this but many times action is often taken after the fact.....the number of deer/car accidents is growing all across the country....best to use foresight than hindsight
