Help support waterfowl conservation and have a great time by attending the 1st Annual Texas Hunting Retrievers Waterfowl Conservational Banquet. This event will be held at The Circle R Ranch in Flower Mound, TX on Friday, February 5, 2010 at 6:30 P.M.

Many unique and valuable prizes will be raffled and auctioned. Place the highest bid and you could go home with sporting art, shotguns and rifles, guided hunts, decorative decoys, knives, calls, outdoor equipment and more.

Tickets for the event are $50.00 per single ticket, $85.00 per couple, children are $15.00, and a table of 8 is $320.00. Tickets are on sale now – please email Greg Scheig, club secretary, at gscheig@yahoo.com to purchase.

For more information log on to our web site at Delta or visit us on Facebook at Texas Hunting Retriever Chapter of Delta Waterfowl.

The banquet is for Delta members – if not currently a member, you can sign up at Signup or we will have applications at the event. Since many of our members were already Delta members, we did not make the ticket prices higher to include a membership (which can be purchased for as little as $25 per year).

Please follow the link below to see just some of the great items that will be available to win in raffles and auctions-

Since its inception in 1911, the Delta Waterfowl Foundation has strived to become North America’s leader in waterfowl ecology and waterfowl hunting. The core of Delta’s operation is its student research program, which was initiated in 1938 by “The Father of Wildlife Management”, Aldo Leopold. Delta students conduct high quality, independent research related to waterfowl and wetland ecology with the ultimate goal of maintaining a sustainable North American waterfowl population for the use and enjoyment of future generations.
Delta’s student research has identified and developed waterfowl management activities that are beneficial to waterfowl production: “Adopt A Pothole”, Predator Management, and Hen Houses, all function with the dual goal of increasing waterfowl production and engaging sportsmen in conservation activities.

Delta also functions as a North American advocate and champion for the future of waterfowl hunting. As a component of their “Waterfowling Initiative”, Delta is committed to creating opportunities for youth to participate in waterfowl hunting activities, while at the same time learning to become a safe and ethical hunter. Delta believes the future of hunting lies firmly in the hands of youth all across North America.
With policy representatives at both U.S. and Canadian capitals, Delta represents waterfowl, waterfowl hunting interests and promotes farm friendly conservation programs on a national basis. Regional policy desks in both North Dakota and Manitoba allow Delta to actively engage waterfowl issues in the heart of North America’s “Duck Factory” – the Prairie Pothole Region.
Delta’s Canadian headquarters is located on the famous Delta Marsh approximately 70 miles west of Winnipeg, Manitoba, while its U.S. headquarters is located in Bismarck, the capital city of North Dakota. For more information on Delta Waterfowl, contact its U.S. office toll free at 888-987-3695 or visit their website at Delta

Hey guys, I know that in this economic times spending a little money on a banquet is tough but considering that these events continue to support our true passions in life and the outdoors it doesn't seem that bad. Please come and enjoy a great dinner and meet some great people. Who knows you might just win something!!

Hope to see everyone there! Butch (nogeese) you dont know this yet but you are your little girl are coming to this. I'll hit you up later about the tickets. smile

Hey guys I just wanted to send out a quick bump. The banquet is in one week. Come on out...we have more prizes lined up then we know what to do with. Get some raffle tickets, some beer, and BBQ and enjoy an evening with other avid duck hunters.
