Shoots a little flatter than the 270. It is basically a 7mm Mag necked down to a 6mm bullet. It was phased out of production I believe in the 60's or 70's due to the into of the 7mm Mag and the inability and technology required to make a barrel that would with stand the higher muzzle velocities. It has recently (last 5yrs) made somewhat of a come back due to higher quality barrels. I bought this gun #1 because it is unique & #2 because it is very well suited for long range med to large size game.
