From Lubbock, used to hunt with landowners permission but times did change. Don't blame landowners nor guides for seeing a business opportunity and developing it. However, don't see where name calling fits on this forum as it is primarily for hunters. Most people from Lubbock and West Texas are nice so give them a try. Just my opinion.

Don't talk the talk if you didn't walk the walk.

I will second Panhandle's Best. He will have cranes within spitting distance and knows what he is doing. If you want to hunt with an outfit that has ruined waterfowl hunting around Lubbock for the common guy, go with Blackfoot.

There’s 15 outfitters running around the Lubbock area and I get blamed?!?!? WTF!!!... Learn how to fish or play golf I guess ya little bitch.

LMFAO. But seriously, If you live in that area and can't find a place to go shoot a few birds you need to take up a new hobby.

Blackfoot has been around for a long time and done what's necessary to build his business, just like any good businessman does. Ruined the hunting around Lubbock? Seriously doubt that. I've hunting with Brian many, many times, not one complaint.

I can all but promise you, what ruins the opportunities for the average Joe to knock on a door to get permission... is the one NTAC that goes on the property, leaves the gate open, ruts up the fields, does what he has been asked not to do. And it only takes ONE to accomplish the NO answer for everyone else.

With a guide, he builds a relationship (if all goes well) and he doesn't have to worry about the gates, ruts, etc, etc., plus puts some $$$ in his pocket.

Blackfoot is usually booked at least a year in advance, what's that tell you?

I have hunted with Crooked Wing, Muddy Waters and Panhandles Best at different times. They are all professional and do a good job.

I know of one outfitter I won't be hunting with though.

Now that was good for business, I can see how outfitters get a bad rep from one 's action. I would not use blackfoot as my guide, who are the 14 outfitters
