Sure, you can eat any bird. But I would stay away from buzzards, seagulls and cormorants. Blackbirds, starlings and meadowlarks are tasty.

I see Monk Parakeets daily in Dallas....often hear them more than I see them. I've had them in my backyard several times. The other day I saw a pack fly right down McKinney avenue.

Yeah I see them all the time here at my office off McKinney Ave and at White Rock lake

I remember playing softball in 96 and they had nests in all the field lights. Awesome birds. You can certainly hear them as they are really noisy.

My grandparents lived on Enon in Everman until their passing. They had nesting parrots on the power lines in their front yard for prob close to 15 to 20 years. The city would tear down the nests and they would just rebuild! The transformers even set the nests on fire on several occasions!

Im a lease operator for all the wells in the area, they nest right next to one of my locations. Pretty cool to watch them in the mornings
