We've got blinds that are framed w/ 2x4s and skinned with sheet metal. Lined on the inside with black soundproofing material for sound and sight. Instead of a floor, we dump sand on the ground inside them.

They work like a champ and last for decades, but they are heavy.

We've got three of these in Mills county, all are 20+ years old and still 100%. Used some really light angle iron (maybe 1/2") for the frame. One strong person can move them. They will blow over in a good wind, though!

The Mueller steel on my roof will 'oil can' in the morning after the sun hits it.
Same here, Cast. Mueller concealed fastener. Looks awesome but also pops when temps change. Sounds like a .22 going off outside.

That means you went cheap and didn’t put enough screws in it!
Used 1×4 lathes to mount it on. I wanted to screw it directly to the solar shield decking. my cousin said it could blow off in one big sheet, during rough weather if it was screwed into OSB. He's a roofer. I trust his advice.

had a blind with a 2x3 frame wrapped in galvanized flashing...surprsingly light...very hot/cold...very noisy....I kicked the side of the blind turning to get on a deer at 50 yards and they didn't even look up.....that blind has been around going on 20 years now...

If I make another one, I'm going to spray foam the inside and ceiling
