I finally got the time to dust off the tools and make a new knife, I have not posted anything here in a long while, I have been looking through the posts and am almost afraid of posting after seeing all the works of art on here. Alabama Damascus Stainless steel bolster Nickel silver and brass pins Stabilized California Buckeye Burl scales with black g10 liners 9 1/2" total length

Don't be afraid. I have one of your knives and it's a workhorse.
I love the colors in that handle

You can also use paint pigment in small amounts to get other colors. apply to knife in warm environment or you will get bubble voids in the epoxy, when I attach the scales I leave 1/8-1/16" extra to make a little valley for the epoxy to set up, then I just remove slowly down to spine. http://www.woodcraft.com/product/144061/system-three-epoxy-pigment-black-2-oz.aspxI do not have a standard for Bolster thickness what ever I can find, for a knife that size 3/8 or 1/4 work well, that is stock thickness.
