I'm looking at a lease in NW Fisher county. Can any of you guys comment on the deer quality in this area? Property has both whitetail and mule deer. Thanks in advance.

Can be very good for both species.

The drought of 2011 killed about 50% of the population and the biggest part of it was the fawns.

So very few 4 year olds. If the property is not overhunted it has the potential for very good bucks.

Most of the MD are around the breaks where the river runs through. The biggest problem hunting this area is too many hunters per acre.

Should not hunt more than 1 Hunter per 500 acres.

Some very large deer near the Double mountain fork and it's tributaries.

Fewer deer per acre than other places, but some better quality in spots. Like pitchfork said too many hunters per acre and drought have hurt some areas.
