Africa in October

Would doing an Africa hunt in October be good?

I have looked in the past, but I was looking in June to August.

I may have a business trip over there and want to know if it would be worth looking into.

Specifically Kenya.

I did not know that. Thanks.

What about other parts of Africa? My wife is there for 10 days, so I can fly anywhere for a 5 day hunt.

I guess my question now is, how is hunting in Africa in October?

I've hunted buffalo in Zimbabwe in October. The pricing is usually less at the end of the season (Oct is end of season, a few hunts go into Nov). I got my bull, but it felt like Houston or New Orleans in August. If you're cool with that, then go for it. Until recently, I always suffered from migraine headaches and overheating really triggered them. I'm sure the trackers thought "what the hell is his problem?". 'Had to get up in the middle of the night and take as cold a shower as I could stand, then jump back in bed and hope to nod off to some kind of sleep.

As others have said you can indeed hunt in October, but the heat can be stifling....and the bugs and crawly things that come with it. Capstick referred toOctober as " The Suicide Month" cause apparently many couldn't handle the heat...

YES it is good hunting in October, but hot. Great time to bow hunt water holes. just get your trophies to the skinning shed quick so you won't have any hair slippage. Forrest
