What is the best way to keep axis coming back to the feeder? I have been told that alfalfa will do it. Any other secrets?

Fresh green alfalfa or chafhaye and a good water source.

If your area has an abundance of green forage and browse then you may have a hard time even with alfalfa. Summer heat may push them to go nocturnal. They are not easy to hunt most of them time. Some guy on here a few years ago was talking about rotting mangos and axis loving them. I never tried it. There was another fella that made an axis call. I remember seeing a video about it on youtube. You could try that.

Alfalfa always works great for me!
