Axis processing Houston - 10/18/16 12:07 PM
Looking for processing recommendations here in Houston. I'm planning to shoot a few axis with a buddy and would like to try a processor in Houston. I typically use Bellville and would like similar quality and guarantee that you get your deer back. Appreciate the recommendations in advance!

If you go through el campo, Prasek's is hard to beat

I used to use Jackson's Processing in Crosby buddy, but I was living in Kingwood so it was close! I always felt like I got only Axis back but I don't remember taking any during deer season! Good Luck on your hunt.

I use Ainsworth Meats in Magnolia for all my processing....they make the best smoked sausage I've ever had from a processor. I've used them to process Axis, Bison, Blackbuck, Lechwe, Fallow, Sika, and Scimitar Oryx....and I have always received the same meat back.

Little bit of a drive but Ed's butcher block in Bryan makes the best sausage ever. I drive from Austin over there to get mine done.
