Blackbuck pictures

Anyone have pictures of blackbuck males with horns of known length?

Had a few show up that look pretty nice to me. but it would be helpful to see what a 20" buck looks like so I can calibrate the eyeballs.

Sounds like anything 20" or better would be considered a trophy, no? TIA

I'm no expert by any means on measuring. Here's one my Mrs took last Fall. A straight measurement is 18". If we measure following the curve its 23 1/2. It's a three curl and a nice Black Buck. I think there's different scoring methods on curled horns. As I said, no expert here.

Use the ears as field judging guides. Their ears are roughly 5" in length. You should be able to get pretty close.

These are all so beautiful. When I get to Texas, I hope for a Blackbuck more than anything else.

it is the norm to discuss blackbucks on forums like this in terms of straight tape length. But when you measure for the book, you will take the curled measurement, I believe.

I think in the field it's alot easier to just do a straight tape measurement.
