Nice hard horned Axis buck

When is the best time of year to connect on a nice hard horned Axis buck? Any recommendations on a good reputable outfitter that has big Axis? I'd like to make a trip down to TX & harvest one sometime soon...

For me it was in June-Fathers Day or so is a great time. With the majority of the bucks in hard-horns in May, they will have great anlter color in June. Throw in the rut and the bucks are active and vocal also. Not the coolest month for hunting but they are really active at that time.
