What are the best time to hunt hard antlered exotic deer in Texas:

Sambar
Rusa
Axis
Hog Deer
Pere David's Deer
Muntjac
Sika

not sure about the others but Axis do not grow on a "rut" cycle, they grow as to when they are born. you could have a fully mature buck with no antlers right along side of a 2yr old thats hard horned.

It's common knowledge, that as a general rule, the peak rut for Axis is late June to early July ,so the biggest percentage of bucks are hard horned by late May. Some ranches have tampered with the Axis breeding cycle so you need to check with the ranch it can differ. Sika rut in early October, they tend to break their racks, so mid to late Sept is best for a trophy.

Sika best time end of August to middle of Oct but keep antlers till February.
Axis best time late May till middle July as stated in other post you can find one yr round.
Most others on your list April to July
These times are optimal to find antlers in good shape, numbers in the case of Axis and rut .
Deer such as Fallow late August to first of October to lessen the chance of antlers being broken as they have lots of small points that get shredded when they fight same for Sika.
