Well with all the discouragement and my own gut I have decided to hunt with G Ranch on here. We talked multiple times and I just had a better feeling. Also the lonesome bull told me they were 2600 acres that must not be right.

Re: lonesome bull ranch - 12/19/11 03:36 AM

Set up a father/son turkey hunt and a fallow hunt for my 13 y/o son, sent in my deposit and when it came time for the weekend hunt nobody had called to let me know when to show up,so I called Fred rich the ranch manager , he didn't answer an left him a message.well the whole weekend passed, I called several times and left several messages and nothing. This sucks because this was going to be my boys first hunt and he was so disappointed. They were quick to cash the deposit check. I have a bad feeling I will have problems getting my money back and will probably have to take legal action. What a mess. My main reason for this post is for another kid not to get his/her hopes up on hunting this place just to be let down by these clowns.

Re: lonesome bull ranch - 12/19/11 03:08 PM

Just want to update my previous post about the lonesome bull ranch,Fred rich the ranch manager finally gave me call, and informed me that the only way I could get my deposit back was if I removed my review and signed a waver I guess saying I wouldn't tell the truth online anymore, well he can keep the money. It's not about the money it's about doing business the right way. He knows he was wrong. He probably doesn't realize that phones have memo buttons and conversations can be recorded, so look for my post on YouTube. Like I said I have no reason to lie about this, I have the hunt form(contract) I turned in,the cashed check, the phone records, the recorded calls, guess I was right going to have to take legal action. Don't hunt here guys it's not worth the headache.anybody has a question or disputes this contact me via email rogerg7473@ yahoo.com

Re: lonesome bull ranch - 12/19/11 04:03 PM

Thanks, I'll tell you all I hate to be this way,and I've never done anything like this before but they really pissed me off, and for Fred to try and turn it to make me feel like I did something wrong, well. Look my grandpa and my dad always told me "say what you do,and do what you say" man up Fred and do the right thing.

Re: lonesome bull ranch - 12/22/11 12:52 AM

We are sorry for Mr. Garcia's unpleasant experience and the miscommunication. Mr.Garcia was actually a return customer that lives about 35 minutes away from the ranch, and had booked another hunt with us that weekend. He was scheduled to arrive at 5:45 am, and did not show up. There is a sign on the entrance gate with the hunting guide's phone number to get in the ranch. The guide was here, and other hunters showed up and did their hunts with no problems. Roger Garcia was familiar with our procedures and had also received an invoice with his booking dates and a note about cancellations and the non-refundable deposit. Our invoice also has the hunting guide's phone number who was on duty that day. Mr. Garcia was calling the Ranch Manager's cell phone, which he had turned off during his vacation with his children. Upon checking the messages monday morning the office was notified by customers that he was writing bad reviews about the ranch all over the internet. Since this was a communication problem, we offered to return his deposit and asked him if he would remove the bad reviews. We have many happy customers and have already booked over 85 return hunters for next year. We can provide referrals upon request. Find more information on our hunts at lonesomebullranch.com

Re: lonesome bull ranch - 12/22/11 02:47 AM

Hey guys this is Roger replying to this post from the lonesome bull ranch, and yea I do live 35 minutes away and yea I was returning to the ranch that I had spent four hours on a couple weekends ago when I took a spike elk, but was still owed a turkey and a hog, I also rebooked a turkey and fallow deer hunt for my son like I stated before. So they state that I was familiar with there procedures, well this was the procedure when I was there, contact Fred rich at the only two numbers that were provided and are clearly listed on there website. How in the world would I get Fred richs personal cell number? Hey i was in the customer service business for twenty years and I always made sure my customers were well taken care of even when i was on vacation with my family. And as far of my reviews, well what about all the other post on this forum, what lies will the lonesome bull ranch post about them? They also claim that I was given some kind of invoice with the guides phone# etc. etc. Well I'm still waiting on that. If I had some otherbway of contacting anybody else at the ranch I would've done it. Look people don't hunt this ranch cause I say so, just do your research, and if you do hunt this place, I hope u can get in the gate:) oh yeah and when your ranch manager is on "vacation" who's in charge?

Re: lonesome bull ranch - 12/23/11 08:38 PM

G Ranch thats funny!!

I know of a person that put a deposit up for a gauranteed size elk at the lonesome bull ranch and when he drove the seven hours down, guess what, the biggest elk they had was about 40" shy of what was promised. They would not give the gentleman his deposit back so he ended up shooting a animal that was the price of the deposit to at least get something.

My sons & I hunted with them last year (Infact just about this time last year).

I posted some of the Pic early this year.

They are GREAT guys and we had a great and very successful hunt.

and it was a hunt and not a shoot.

I can't speak to the pricing cause it was a gift from my bride and I have no Idea how much it cost.

I would go out with them anytime.

They are good honest guys.

Re: lonesome bull ranch - 12/28/11 01:25 AM

had a client of ours that went there earlier in the year for a bull elk hunt. They told him they had two bulls one of which was going to be 370 or better. Made him a sweet deal on the price so he went on down. Well lets just say that either someone or several people either can't add and judge a elk or it was just a complete line of BS. The bull according to our client may have went 320 at best. He was pissed to say the least and wanted his money back and they wouldn't give it to him. But basically gave him a screwy looking oryx "cull" for his deposit money.
As an outfitter and a guide it really ticks me off that places mistreat customers this way. This is a big reason why we take a minimal deposit occasionally and offer a no kill no pay policy at the ranch!

Re: lonesome bull ranch - 01/10/19 06:37 PM

I'm a 100% DAV VietNam veteran and require a care taker to go with me dove hunting. My friend agreed to go with me. This year I talked to their ranch manager and agreed to a 3 night stay for dove hunting on opening day. I called the office and they emailed me the contract which I signed. They charged my card for the full price so we were set. The weather changed and rained the complete season. I talked to the manager several times and we kelp waiting to better weather. I called before Christmas to check on refund and Faith said she'd get back to me. I waited till Jan 7th and called her again and she said she would talk to Steve and get back to me. I've sense left messages with no return calls. I'm posting this as it is an on going issue and will up date as it unfolds. I need the refund as I'm paying monthly on my card and we live on my disability income.
