This property has never had a lot of turkey on it, just the odd picture on the game cams ...... So I got the idea of throwing a bag of chicken scratch in with the corn and it seems to have paid off.

I've never been much of a turkey hunter, but I think I'll lay off them for another season and let them get good and established before I start nocking some down..... For you turkey hunters can you comment on the size of these gobblers? - I don't know how I stack up as far as beard length and spurs but I'm pleased with what I'm seeing.

FYI this place is in Oklahoma within 20 min of the Choctaw Casino in Durant Oklahoma.

I may have to try that. The turkeys have pretty much disapeared off our place the last couple years.

I'm really impressed with the difference it has made and I'm hoping it might help the bobwhite population also.

My corn feeders are 500lbs, so its as simple as 1 bag of chicken scratch trickled in with 9 bags of corn; the chicken feed is a mix of milo, wheat & cracked corn.

Milo and sunflowers are like crack to turkeys. It won't hurt you to take a gobbler or two as they aren't the limiting factor in reproduction. I wouldn't hesitate to take a few of those big ones!

Our place is covered up in turkey aka corn buzzards. We've taken a couple of gobblers that probably would have made NWTF top 50 in Texas had we bothered to get them officially scored.

We have been adding milo to our feeders and a few seem to be hanging around now, not so much in the past.
