21 Minutes Take Off to touch down... WOW - 04/02/15 07:51 PM

So Yesterday late afternoon I snuck out to my lease near Medina Texas. My plan was to set up for the evening and get a feel for what might be moving in the area... expecting to return Friday / Saturday.

I sat down on my stool behind some small scrub cedars at exactly 5 pm on the dot. at 5:07 I hit my scratch call... (probably didn't wait long enough for things to settle I was thinking but I was excited).... Immediate Gobble from behind me.... I reposition hoping I was out of visual range..... 5:11 I hit the Call again... and GOBBLE GOBBLE near on top of me... out struts 3 Toms.... I wanted to hit the call once more just to see how close I could get them... but they were well within Range... BAM... Turkey down.... Tagged , Loaded into truck and at the sign out sign at the ranch at 5:21pm exactly.

Now on one hand I was really excited I got a response, fast and furious and it happened so quick... on the other hand, man I wanted to enjoy the spot a couple hours... that man time in the woods relaxing....well there is next year too... GREAT TOM, great results... all the youtube video practice watching call techniques paid off.

Nothing wrong with that. You picked the right spot, at the right time and the right note on the call. Well done.
