Yesterday's Hunt

A good friend invited me out to his lease yesterday. We filled feeders, went into town for steaks at lunch time, swapped lies about previous hunts, and sat in the blind for a couple of hours. About half an hour before dark, a sounder of 6 or 7 sows came in, all of which were surprisingly large. I'd say this one was about 140 lbs or thereabouts.

The pig ended up being a little larger than I thought. It weighed 91 lbs skinned and dressed with the neck and lower legs trimmed away, so the live weight was probably around 175 lbs, give or take a few. A couple of the others were noticeably larger than this one.
