I was quail hunting and came upon a group of about 15 hogs in a wheat field. They were about 250 yards away on the wrong side of the fence (another ranch). I had some buck shot with me, and waited for awhile to see if they would walk on a well worn trail and go under the fence. No luck. Do you think some kind of hog call may have worked?

called a hog in twice-once using a rabbit distress call and another time talked my brother into "meowing" like a cat and pulled one into the middle of a CRP field! We laugh about that to this day...
they are omnivorous so I imagine they thought they were coming to get an easy meal.
Yes it works very well. I use a Foxpro and Boar Sparring and some other sounds. I posted a video on here a while back. I will see if I can find it again. I'm planning to go do it again Sunday but film it with a drone this time.
