Feeder filling / feeder & camera battery changing trip turned into a quick test of the Oswald shooting theory.
I always carry a gun to the field, and this time it was my kid's bolt action Rem 700 Youth 243. Nice compact little gun to carry in the truck. After filling the feeder and changing batteries, I decided to take a peek down in the bottom where the hogs typical gather in the winter. Sure enough, they we're down there. Stalked to within 140-150yds and got settled up against a small tree. Picked out one for the first target, then made a survey of where the others were. Took the shot, and all hell broke loose! Way more down there than I could see...easily 50+
Quickly chambered another shell picked off another one, then another, and another. All in probably 10 seconds or less and the rest we're gone. End result....4 shots 4 pigs down, 3 head shots, 1 heart shot, none took another step. Now I'm no great marksman...just an average country boy who's been hunting all his life, but I still say Results like this tell me Oswald could have pulled it off from that window.
