Predator hunters - 01/03/16 10:08 PM

Recently I have been added to the FoxPro field staff . It is a title I am quite proud of but not for the prestige and the hot chicks that come with it . I am proud of it because of the people that I have been able to meet and associate with it . I have always considered myself a pretty good judge of character and the first time I had a conversation with Mike Dillon I knew right away he was a man with what many are lacking these days . Moral fiber .
He called me one night right after I had been booted off of a forum for doing nothing other than stating why I thought another call was better than his . he called an apologized for it even though he had nothing to do with me being escorted off of my puter chair . We then started a conversation on why I thought this certain caller was better than his . It was a great interaction and he never once was defensive or rude even one time . I could tell he was listening and sometimes listening or lack of is what interferes with someone or something improving . To many times these days everything becomes a urinating match and then before long this guys mouthing this guy and back and forth . then were calling each other out and looking to meet up behind the woodshed to settle it out . Its easy to and boy how I know because you would be hard pressed to find someone out there with a worse temper than I . Age and children have seemed to help me become a more understanding person and father . How can I expect my children and friends to carry themselves with class if I myself cant even perform it . A true test was presented to me not long ago . A neighbor had broke into my truck and stole my rifles and wallet . He was caught a few days later and my rifles recovered . A week later after he had bonded out he approached me as I sat on my porch . Now for a guy who at one time fought somewhere every Friday and Saturday night just because he liked to most thought for sure we would have went to fist city . He came to apologize though so I asked him for a spare smoke and welcomed him to sit next to me . We had a good talk about him getting his life back together and the road that was ahead of him if he did not change his ways . For me this was a medal of a achievement for me because I knew I was changing for the better . Im better sure god winked at me as the fellar walked back to his home . These days there are 10 fold more callers and calls out on the market and just because I like this one and you like that one . It doesn't mean we have to resort to rudeness or hostilities . Give an opinion with class and respond with class . You will sleep better because of it . So far everyone I have been involved with in the FoxPro family has handled themselves with class . A man once told me surround yourself with good people and good things will happen . Its contagious . Carry on . I know its hard to bite your lip and I got scar tissue built up heavily but we can do it . smile Let er buck boys and keep on keeping on .

Good story.
I remember wanting to get a remote Ecaller back in the day and since I live in Waco and had met Gerald Stewart a couple of times (also a great guy and ambassador to the predator hunting community) my inclination was to buy the first Johnny Stewart remote ecaller.
Well they kept delaying and delaying getting it to market so I did some checking around and bought a Foxpro 416B that had 16 sounds. That was about 16 years ago and I have owned and used about every model Foxpro ever made and have not been disappointed. They have legendary customer service and having met both Steve and Mike Dillon I know that it's all about making a good product and keeping the customer first.
I too have been proud to recommend Foxpro products to anyone as I know they are getting a cutting edge product made in the USA and backed by solid folks that do business the right way.

I personally am acquainted with Clay and have hunted with him. His actions are no surprise as I have always considered him a true gentleman.

I may have read that forum post, not sure but your story is real familier.

Great you landed on your feet and with class. If a forum can't handle some prudent opinions on products, then to heck with their impartiality/bias.

Now, can you get me a good discount on a Fusion? grin

Congrats on your FS position up
