Shoot Them During the Security Check

Well, that is when I like to shoot them. This hog was a great example. He would walk a few feet, stop, sniff, listen, and then repeat the process. They will often stand still for a couple of second to several seconds as they check their surroundings. If you watch the pattern and are ready, it makes for a much easier shot. As soon as I got the rifle on him and steadied, dropped him with a shot to the side of the face.



I was a bit surprised to see a hog. It seems some hog doggers came through the property, UNINVITED over the weekend.

I really like that 'white hot' from the monocular. You prefer 'black hot' with your scope though. I'm guessing there is a reason for that?

I like black hot because the hogs look more like hogs instead of looking like Harry Potter 'Patronus' animals.

Though I use both, overall, I prefer black hot. It just looks more realistic and in my little mind I believe I can see them better.
