New Broadhead takes down 70 lbs hog... Not big but fun! - 09/25/15 06:03 PM
Just bought these and I was very skeptical due to the low price of 15.00 for three. Super sharp and fly true! Passed right through the hog I killed tonight to test them out. Made a NICE entrance and very nice exit wound. Huge blood trail and was easy to follow. 1.5 inch three blade cut. Great broad heads for 15.00 for three. Excited to try them next Saturday on a deer.
I got there too late, 6:30pm, and the feeder was already loaded with hogs. Once they are there they stay until they get spooked. I had to spook them so from out of sight I fired a shot from my pistol and they cleared. I was 70 yards away, and by the time I got close and was getting set up for a bow shot in some brush, I got busted. I decided to stick it out and just hold still in the brush. For a good hour I could see the hogs peaking at me through the brush. finally this sow said screw it and walked out to the feeder. Apparently she was not the brightest one in the bunch, which is surprising seeing she was older. Gave me a good opportunity to try the new broadhead. She jumped a little when i shot so it was a little far back than I wanted but still only ran 25 yards. NICE blood trail to follow too!
