Yote.

Has more white on its legs than most, but doesn't display any recognizable physical features suggesting it has any domestic canine in it (blockier head, heavier neck, more body weight, larger paws, etc).

Great pic.

Based on the face and ears it looks like a coyote with a short tail

Coyote. The legs are just a little too long and the head shape is wrong for it to be a Chupacabra. banana2

Coyote is likely not 'short tailed', the camera simply caught the image as the tail was swinging to one side. I have a zillion such photos.

Interesting consideration. Yes, the canid in the image shows no features to indicate that it has any domestic dog in it. Those would be phenotypic traits. HOWEVER, it still may be a coydog because it contains domestic dog genetic material, or genotypic traits, but that are not expressed phenotypically. Short of genetic testing, there is no way to know for certain.

Just a coyote. These four all looked similar and all weighed over 40 lbs. I did not have them genetically tested though.

If they had been Yotes I would have had them tested as I have never killed a Yote just plain ole coyotes.
