2 Snared hogs - Vid - 03/08/15 06:21 AM

We have been hog free for over a decade and about 7 months ago had a breach in the perimeter fencing. We snare for coyotes and decided to give it a try on hogs, we got two of them!

Thanks guys. Location is private property in South Texas. These are the snares we used very affordable for 10 dozen like $130 http://www.pcsoutdoors.com/ausable5ft332coyoteandfoxsnarewithsurelockandwireswivelend1dozen.aspx

We looped it around the bottom wire since it is the strongest on the fence and then since the snare is 5 foot long we weaved it in the mesh of the fencing then set the snare about 12-14" inches in diameter for these hogs. I was honestly surprised that did not bust snares. We have had coyotes and bobcats bust these snares. hope my description of how we set them made sense!

No problemo guys, hope y'all get some. Unfortunately we saw about 20 babies on the ground this weekend, we were hog free for over a decade so its fun in a way, but we know how destructive they are and how quickly their numbers will double and triple.
