Why you do not move right after your shot.

Why you do not move right after your shot. - 01/03/15 08:16 PM

I've tried to explain in stories how using a suppressor can get you more than one kill. Here is a video showing just how that works, you just need to sit still don't make any noise and I advise waiting at least 5 minutes before you move in to recover your animal.

Awesome video
My son and I double teamed a big boar news years eve ,he made us before Lawson was ready so I smoked as he turned
dropped him ,by that time my son was on him, he gets up and he drops him like a rock, the pig gets up again he smokes him again, there is nothing better sound than a suppressed bullet hitting a pig unless it's your 11 year old son laying a big un out twice
And as luck as it the coolest shots I could have got on video my mvdr didn't work ,could have been user error
Anyway my best New Years night to date .
Thanks for the video

Same for non suppressed! Waited 5 or 10 one time and a second doe walked in. Rem 700 .243

Should have put the doe out of her misery.

Yup, I agree. I did the following pair during early archery season with my 300blk and subs. Then five minutes later I got a whitetail doe bow with by bow.

Good advice. been there several times. I'll wait for a sounder that has scattered after shooting a pig from it. It's not unusual for one or more to return to the same spot.

Very impressive military looking gear. Can't imagine hogs are still being a problem where you are.

Do you wear snake boots, by any chance?

cheers with over 4,000,000 wild hogs in texas. even with the numbers Texaslawman puts out & ones posted for 2014. tis just a dent. some areas hold more than others. still waiting here ta do some grillen & chillen flag

Thank you for pointing that out, Colt.45

Is the "dead hog counter" all done by you? If so, you have out done the whole "2014 Hog Kill Count" even by a margin.

While you may not put a dent in the population as a whole you can train them to avoid large areas. I have several farms they hardly visit anymore.

I will add my counter only counts found dead hogs, none of the hogs that run off and die are counted. Also none of the trapped hogs are counted.

cheers hogs have been pretty scarce around here. since WMA opened up close by, have hog hunted it. & last few years, hogs been thinned out. spent many miles & hours hunting hogs. as stated, some parts of texas have more hogs than others. flag

I agree to put enough of a hurtin on them and they start to go where they aren't getting shot at.

The day after thanksgiving. A coyote came out about 7 am on the tree line. I shot him then moved him out of the deer path. I got back into the stand and about 30 minutes later a spike and a five point showed up. The spike didn't last long.

agChuck, What cookie cutter did you use on the deer? That is a huge hole in its side.

270 hornady sst 130 grain. Biggest exit I've seen. He ran about 30 yards then as he was falling you could see the blood spill out of the hole.

Forgot to say that same gun and ammo type used for yote. Exit on yote was much smaller.
