What are cat prices looking like this year?

My son is planning on selling fur this year, he's in Christoval so will probably get with you in Angelo.

Anywhere from $30 to $100, few selects might go more

what are you buying this year?

Cat, coon, fox, coyote, otter, beaver, ringtail (ringtails should be kept frozen whole)

Coons and coyotes, skinned or frozen whole?

Everything should be skinned and sold green or fleshed and dried. The only animal I request to be left frozen whole are ringtail cats. No need to skin them just freeze em whole

What can one expect to get for skinned/ green large coon sir?

Coon 2-6
Cat 30-100
Fox 5-15
Coyote 5-15
Ringtail 15 frozen whole
Beaver 5-10
Otter 20-40

Do the coons that are green need to be on stretchers?

Well technically if they are on stretchers then they are not green, green fur is simply skinned and frozen pelts, that's it. Fleshed, stretched, and dried fur will bring your average up if done correctly, if done sloppy then it will hurt you. I will except both this year

When you say frozen, what would be the proper way to store them for you after skinning? Also, I'm a little new at the selling furs but not at skinning, does the face skin need to be on it as well?

What are you giving on mink (for males and females)?

To store the pelts they should just be rolled and frozen in a ziplock freezer bag. Then thawed prior to meeting me at a stop. And yes the face needs to be skinned.
