Kansas youth weekend

Kansas youth weekend - 11/06/17 02:07 PM

We hunted Kansas for the youth pheasant/quail this past weekend. It was a blast. It was cold, wet, and windy. We found tons of birds, but they were all bunched up and hard to approach. My son ended up shooting at 4 roosters and got one. He got two rabbits and got his first quail.

Enjoy the pictures.

Looks awesome. Were you hunting public land? If so, whereabouts? Heading to southwest Kansas come December.

Excellent. I want to get my son up there to hunt pheasants. It looks like he had a fun time. Good Job!

Nice pics. Did the dogs point? Did those Pheasent hold? It look like they could run for days in that grass

The hens and quail held. The roosters flushed out at about 15-20 yards. We had to kick the grass to get the hens and quail out.
