We lost a true bird dog man yesterday. Hunted from Canada thru the Dakotas as the seasons opened each year. Loved a class dog and owned many over the years. Just over a month ago Bond called to tell me a trip to the doctor with back pain led to the discovery of bladder cancer. He was hopeful he would make it to the lease this fall but fate had other plans. Life is short and throws a lot of curves. Prayers for the family. He's in quail country with the wind at his back.

Enjoyed many a night in the bunk house with Bond. I will miss him and the stories about his father. His father loved Hitler till the 700 mile walk out of Russia

Bond was my friend and hunting partner. He and I shared lots of memories that I will never forget. Hard to think of the upcoming season without him. I will miss him!
