Grouse are a lot of fun to chase. I spent a week up around Valentine, NE hunting whitetails and muleys, and the grouse and pheasants were thick. Plenty of action for the scatter gun. I found that the grouse were much dumber than the old wiley ringnecks though.

Nice. Those sharpies, when you come back in mid-November and the cover is thinner and they have been chased around for a couple of months, they are a lot smarter

Nice thanks for sharing, reminds me of younger days when my dad and I would hunt prairie chicken in eastern New Mexico.

I would estimate around 20
