Panhandle Pheasant season

Panhandle Pheasant season - 01/04/16 10:55 PM

We had a pretty good season considering the drought the last 4-5 years. Hunted almost every weekend expect for when the blizzard hit on Christmas weekend. The quail numbers are unbelievable, which made for more fun and productive hunts. Took a few pic Saturday on our last hunt.

Closed the season with 5 roosters and 5 bobs

Ellie after our Christmas eve hunt. 2 hours and almost a one person limit

That's awesome! Wish we had that luck this weekend. Snow had the roads blocked to the honey holes. Couple of birds presented shots but not a bird in the bag. Congrats on your hunt!!!!!!

We did get into a few corners that still had 12-18" of snow drifts. Jumped a 40-50 bird covey of quail and didn't drop a single one, I just starred in awe of the rise. We did get a few of the singles! Dogs worked great, weather was awesome and just a good way to end the year!

Roscoe won't need it ever again. Muffin was barking in the dog box. I got her a bark collar. She tried it only twice. She doesn't need it anymore.

Mr. Oxner if my wife seen me putting that e-collar on her dog she would put it on me in a sensitive area and turned it on full strength, and there would be no mercy!!!!
