They're here.....

Josh and I jumped 3 different woodcock walking around today in southern Morris county. We were building a new duck blind on a place we just got access too. We had Joshua's Weimaraner with us and got to watch him try and hold point. Amazing how a dog that has never seen a woodcock or had any training, somehow knows that this is a bird he should point. Can't wait for Dec 18th.

Lived here my entire life and have seen them off and on, but never really looked until last year. Seeing NP and Jen made me take notice. Will be after then full bore this year.

Great! I actually jumped one on Nov. 7th at my place-2 1/2 weeks earlier than my earliest previous visitor. I think he was a very early advance scout though as I didn't see another until today.

You will have a lot of fun! Looking forward to some pics.

Jenny is ready. Took her to vet for shots last week and she thought we were going hunting. Broke my heart to bring her home.
