Has anyone been out to black gap or elephant?

Did phenomenal at black gap three years ago went two years ago by my GPS I went 12 miles and never saw a bird. I hear elephant may be looking a little better this year.

I tried replying a while back, but apparently it didn't go through ... anyway, I hunted quail out at Elephant Mountain a couple of years ago and only saw one covey of birds as I was driving out. Hopefully things have improved since then. It was still fun hunting there -- it's beautiful country and I saw plenty of javelinas.

It's a shame the last few years got drawn for javalina four years ago at black gap it was a successfull hunt but there were quail everywhere. Next year hunted birds it was great just gin down hill after that. I mee to call the biologist out there and see how it looks. Thanks for the response.
