Good opening weekend after the split on lake X

Good opening weekend after the split on lake X - 12/06/17 12:35 AM

It was a good opening weekend back after the split. Lots of grey. Saturday was a great hunt as we did not get scouted one time. On Sunday the tides changed and we were scouted by two different boats after we shot our limits. Great public land hunting. Happy Scouting roflmao

If you you are gonna post a pic of a good day on the water, don't do all the scribally business on the pic. It's just dumb. Post a pic like this.

Or wait till end of season and post pics. If someone recognizes a little back ground like you got in your pic, they scouted that spot good already and probably shot ducks there and took their own pic.

If you are worried about boats scouting you, you are too serious. Sorry, I don't find humor in your post, but you had some cool pics if you didn't ruin them with the scribbling business.

We are not worried about anything..... its funny to us and we dont take life too seriously. The scribbling on the post is a joke... I think most get it. The "scouting" comments are us making fun of people having to poach other peoples spots because they cant find spots on their own that are good enough. Keep on scouting!!!! clap

Poaching your spots on public, ok that made me laugh.

Nice Greys. I'm going to be totally honest here. I scout 2-3 hours each week and about 6 per week before the season. If I hear of a lake I haven't looked at I'm going to check it out. If someone says lake x is on fire I'm going to scout it. In my opinion anyone who says different is not being honest with themselves. Glad you had a good day.

So if you are scouting and you come around a bend and someone is hunting, then you are poaching. Got it. Lol

I'm not a waterfowl purist like you Judd. My preference is to shoot drakes, but hens hit my spread they die. I'm currently running 59% drakes. smile ani

I know those trees on the right. The two that look like they come out of one base. That and the willow to the left.

Don't worry, I hunt weekdays so we shouldn't step on each other.

grin we actually prefer weekdays. Less likely to get "scouted" by others.

I ain't gonna lie... our deer lease ponds have been loaded up with greys and wigeon. Of course the wigeon always show up right at LST so I can't tell who has a cotton top. My percentage this year is probably around the same. I have only shot one hen mallard and no hentails tho.

Oh, it wasn't funny at all. Until they can come up with a sarcasm font key, that kinda stuff will always be misunderstood.

WOW...y'all are cracking me up this morning. Guy knows I'm jacking with him just as he is me.

Here's a little internet forum tip for some of you...if there is a smiley after a smart donkey comment it normally is going to be a guy jacking with someone.

For the record...I'm not funny, I'm an [censored] grin and I'll send my reply to douchenbass via text wink

Judd. Stop asking me to go hunting with you. I'm not going back to that wood duck roost that guy was yelling at us last time.

Pintail have eluded me so far. Last year I finally got into them during the second split, hoping for the same.

Actually there was an error in my log model, only 4 mallards hens, I'm running 63% drakes. smile ani
