abilene dove reports

May be taking a west texas dove run this weekend. any birds around merkel or abiline?

Hit or miss. Firlds that have produced 5-10 limits 2-3 times a week in the past might have little to no birds. I've had a couple great hunts but overall the area has been spotty. There are still places around holding a lot birds but not as many as usual.

We hit noodle first two weekends in Sept. Very spotty.... maybe a cold front will send some soon.

There is literally food and water every where. In all my years this has been one of the worst openers. We even went to our place in Runnels county, we saw a few birds going there, but very few. I had a field of sunflowers shredded 3 weeks ago, I should have saved the fuel.

Do you deer hunt around Noodle?
