Dove-Legal Shooting Times

Dove-Legal Shooting Times - 08/31/17 11:18 AM

I always get asked by a few of my hunters about legal shooting times. Remember it's 30 minutes before sunrise to sunset (not 30 minutes after sunset).

Good luck everybody and be safe. But sure and be careful with those low flying early birds, don't shoot your hunting partner.

I can't see them 30 minutes before sunrise usually. I like to wait for a good clear target anyway. Good heads up Jon. Good luck to y'all.

Legal time here tomorrow is 6:41am, it's 6:31am now and dark as crap. Seems like the majority of my birds are flying good about 8:00am.

Hunting ends at sunset for all migratory game birds. Deer hunters get that one confused.

Our tanks always get hammered right at sunset. I could not shoot all day and limit between sunset and dark if legal.

I used to be able to do the same with duck at our ranch, if it were legal.
