Did it this past season; am not re-upping for next year. Believe it was poorly managed.

Not sure how you thought it was poorly managed but my group and several others i have talked to had great seasons last year and are looking forward to a new year that should be better than the last few.

My group alone shot over 1,000 ducks and geese last season. I would highly recommend this club to anyone, its the best value dollar for dollar than anywhere else.

Out of my group of 6, 0 of us are re-upping for this year. They claimed to have 70+ blinds, but really more than 1/3 never had water pumped in, never had blinds put in etc.

I love how the Barney wanna be waterfowlers will gear up to shoot ducks but never hunt. If you never ventured away from the same areas and scouted or expected someone to tell you where the birds were then shame on you, not the club. I personally hunted all but three days last season in some fashion or another. I cant say there wasnt water. plenty of blinds and water. of course i am sure you volunteered to build a few and brush them too right? i didnt think so. you get out of a club what you put into it.

When you can't hunt at 1/3 of your lease because there isn't water pumped in, there's a problem with the lease holder working with the landowners, aka poor management.

Run as fast as you can. Terribly managed. Volunteered multiple times to do blinds last year and was never contacted despite several emails and calls. Ponds had no food. Only flooded rice that wasn't seed rice was after Teal and well into the regular season. Farmers didn't hold up their end of the bargain and pump water when and where they should have. Projects predicted to be completed for this season were never finished. Scouted every Wednesday and never saw more than a dozen ducks on a pond. When the ground in the pond is tilled to dust and flooded you're just running traffic you never hold birds. Scraping the bottom of the barrel off of what other private higher end clubs are shooting. If there were people shooting birds there were properties hidden from our group or exclusive to certain groups. The most we shot was 14 ducks and 2 specks as a 6 man group on the second split re opener. I was promised we would have productive goose hunting ground with some consistency. Due to no birds on the very limited number of fields we had I ran traffic on one hunt and shot 1 specklebelly. When I talked to the mgr about there not being water in a field that was promised to be flooded with 2 blinds He didn't know what was even going on. With so few properties you would think he could keep a handle on what was going on where. The only thing I can think of is he must have had more properties he was hunting and scouting keeping to himself. An entire section of the lease was supposed to be huntable by our group only to find out we needed to be accompanied by lease mgmt to hunt this property. Total bs and a waste of time and money.

Yea, I couldn't really find a lease that I had heard good things about, within the amount of time I was willing to drive from nw Houston. A few friends of mine have tried quite a few of the leases around and did not care for them. I am new to the waterfowl scene though. Last year they were on a lease and I hunted with them almost 10 times, I really liked the properties they had. I just wasn't able to wrangle up enough hunters to join it for this year. Public hunting it is !!!

The season quickly approaches and the natives are getting restless.

Not that I doubt you or think this is hogwash or anything but I did a little math. 1000 ducks and geese? A 6 man group killing 6 bird per man a day average would take 27.7 days to reach 1000 birds. I am not saying it cant happen.... but!
