Well...crap

Finally had a nice fully plummed Blue wing teal come flying into my spread this morning, (a bird iv been wanting for the wall for awhile) shot a few but never fully plummed...nailed it first shot!...and jacked both wings up...dang it!

I'd bet a good taxidermist could still fix it up. Nice bird BTW!

10 years ago I shot one up here late season in North TX. Still kickin' myself in the butt for grillin' it instead.

Its missing some feathers though is my main concern, thought maybe a dead mount Idk, was pretty beat up about it this morning but I guess its better then not shooting one at all lol, maybe Jeremy holmes will chime in here, he has one of my birds already.

Hes wrapped and in the freezer, just incase. Will talk to some Taxis and see If its possible to do anything with it where it doesnt look horrible.

Get him in a standing pose! I think the standing poses are nicer anyways. Either way! Awesome bird! I got my first fully plumed BWT 2 weeks ago! So gorgeous!!!

Ah man Im jealous lol, yea ill look into it, dont think the standing pose would show that he's missing any.
