I've got several top of the line calls, RNR, Echo, and Zink. The one I've been using since I was a kid,(I'm 64), I'd the Faulks single reed. Awesome, easy to blow call. 34 dollars at cabelas. Welcome back!

I have had good luck with hand made mom and pop duck calls. The way I see it, every duck from here to Canada has heard Zink and Echo calls. Try something different, maybe a non-mass produced one. Do a search on ebay or Etsy for Custom Acrylic Duck Calls and I bet you pay less for it than you will other places.

All I use is the Tim Grounds products. Specifically I use the Sweet Meet and HenTalk. However I am at best slightly above average at calling on a good day. That being said my father is extremely good and the only mallard call he ever uses is the Hen Talk. They are middle of the road price wise. Last time I looked most of his stuff was 45-70 bucks. I know they can sound as good as anything in the right hands.

No calling a and a lil motion in the spread seems to work best for me. - Pretty cheap too.

Check out Fowlaholic. I use several of their calls. Similar to Echo in tone but doesn't stick or lock up as soon as it gets wet.

Best call for the money.
Jerk string
Whistle
Haydell's DR-85
Position one and two could be debated as to order.

Sometimes the best call is no call, especially on super pressured birds.
