I got my 3 guys, decoys set up and a pretty morning..... good luck everyone!

Got to my spot and found that the river was too high and fast. Tried one decoy but wouldn't hold. Hiked back out and went home. Good luck

Well at least the sunrise was pretty, we didn't see but a handful of birds and never fired a shot

Different year for sure but I bet in a week or 2 things will pick up

Oh there is no doubt, we had ducks working early but as soon as shooting time came they disappeared. I'm ready for cloudy highs in the 40's days. But it's only the beginning with better hunts to come.

The east Texas ducks are here. Got a limit yesterday and one short today.

Strong front coming in around Friday, should make things interesting. Snow in the west.

we saw a ton of birds flying but couldnt get them to come in. they were doing a bunch of circling.
however, i did watch the guys across the lake hammering them.

Yep- looking forward to some temps in the 40s this weekend.

We killed a two man limit Saturday, but Sunday there was barely any shooting. Those birds got smart and headed out on the full moon after being bombarded opening day.

We had a good shoot on a NTX lake Saturday. Almost entirely GWT, couple of spoonies. Had one group of mallards come in and my shooting failed me. Really surprised by the numbers but will need another push after what was pointed out above - moon and guns blazing.
