That's a real tease you can only shoot 2 of them. Where I hunt I do not see many redheads, but when I do see them I can spot them a mile away the way they work and fly, cool birds.

I was yanking that cord splashing as the birds came all the way to the spread. One group was directly over the jerk deeks and I yanked it. They tried to fall in right on top of the decoy. They hit the breaks, let the wind out of their wings and plopped right in on the jerk rig. That changed a lot of minds about jerk rigs that day.

No disrespect at all, but I'd be hard pressed to pay for [censored], redheads and jacks.

That is awesome! Had this happen to me season before last on the bay. Not on the same scale but probably a couple hundred landed in and around my spread after I'd already got my two. Was incredible to just sit there and watch.

It's less about the ducks, and more about the adventure and hanging out with you guys. I wouldn't miss that Jumbalaya. I'm just not ready to commit right now. If it works out I can crash somewhere that's great, otherwise I got a campertop on my truck, this year I'm framing in my mattress and decking the rest of the truck bed so it is level over the wheel well. Not done with it yet.

I think Red Heads are the most fun to watch and hunt. They work the best and give what I think of as a classic duck hunt.
