Knocking out blinds this month - 08/09/16 01:51 AM

We've got 28 total to build as of now. 4x10's on 1' skids. Just need to add the pressure treated benches and front shelves, first batch of 10 goes out this week to a new duck club in central tx.

No Garrett they're not insulated

It's probably a little harsh for a CBR, labs don't seem to mind it

that should be the least of your concerns, the dang things are not even insulated

Re: Knocking out blinds this month - 08/11/16 04:20 PM

Garrett is insulated enough he need not worry about any additional insulation.

BW don't you have someone to go buy some crappie from?

Re: Knocking out blinds this month - 08/11/16 11:01 PM

I would PM Judd, I bet he would buy one of those blinds. Private water hunters they like them permanent blinds. He would probably want some insulation tho, and some cushions on the seats.

What in the wild world of sports is going on here....lemme try to knock this out in one post:

PM me for info on the price of these, this ain't the classifieds and I don't wanna make Guy's old friends mad

Thanks Frisbie, will you add me back on fb? I promise I'll stop making fun of your professional hunting pics and your yeti stickers

Jeromy I'm on a gluten free Palio diet of you couldn't tell, no carbs no meat no dairy. Straight protein shakes

Garrett I'm becoming more and more concerned with your insulation questions

Cool joke Barney, you nailed it

Judd has officially retired from real hunting and turned to shooting paper with a weird lookin rifle

Loaded up 8 and hauled them to Lorena yesterday. I'll get some close up pics of everything this weekend after we paint the rest. One of these will be in the Frisco DU auction here pretty soon.

Ramballz, on a serious note, nice work on the blinds, and your fabrication work in general up Now I just need you to step up your smoker game and start doing some insulated fire boxes. its crazy how much those boxes knock down how much wood or lump coal you have to burn. I have the frame for a cabinet smoker started, I hope to get back into it pretty soon...insulated 100% of course

Well don't blow away. I'm working on a project over near you. I may stop in one day and see how shriveled up you've gotten.

Judd bought a new mud boat. It's game over for the trash ducks this year.

What size expanded metal is that and how far apart are the floor joists?
Posted By: Ramball36

Re: Knocking out blinds this month - 08/13/16 09:44 PM

3/4" #9 expanded, joists are 1.5" 13GA on 24" centers

Thanks. Is it flattened or standard? How do they get the 3/4" measurement? How big the gaps are? And I'm guessing number 9 means 9 gauge?

Re: Knocking out blinds this month - 08/14/16 03:35 AM

It's flat. I couldn't tell you how they get the measurement, but 3/4" #9 is the most commonly used size you see around most stuff.
