Shotgun Shells on Sale

Anyone seen any shotgun shells on sale yet, or know when their going on sale? Post it up when you do, price and brand please.

Academy doesn't have sales but their regular price for 12 ga 1 oz #8 is $5.49/box

Ive bought a couple of mismarked cases of winchester AA's for super cheap ($35) at academy. Havent seen any good sales yet though

The only deals I have seen is last years stuff at academy. Last month we picked up a crap ton of heavy dove 20g 1oz 7.5's for $5/box and some 16g stuff for a little more.

Cabelas 20 ga rio 7.5 69$ a case. Same price as last yr

I haven't seen a sale in at least 5 years.

Same thing at academy for $54-59

I get 12ga. Winchester AA's 1 1/8oz for $78.90/case delivered. Winchester is doing a rebate for $20/case up to 5 cases. That makes it $58.90/case or $5.89/box for 1 1/8oz #7.5's @1300fps. Good enough for this 'ol boy.

However, I used my rebate this year on .410 and 28ga for $6.65/box after the rebate.

Where are you ordering your shells if you don't mind me asking?

Yeah it was nice when they would go on sale for $38 a case, i would load up, think one season I bought 15 cases.

I found rio blue steel 3" #4s the other day for 6.99 a box. I'm sure they were mismarked but I bought all they had! 12 boxes. Need to go back and see if they still have them at that price! I've never used them but it seemed way cheap so I had to try them.

macks is running a good deal on hevimetal for those of you who shoot it. 3" is 209 a case with a 50 dollar mail in rebate. didn't buy any, but I want to say the 3-1/2s for you serious skyblasters were 259 lol

Academy is about the only place I see Ammo. I buy by the pallet and not much difference on price that way either.

Basspro has Federal dove loads for $5 a box, $50 a case.

Right now though its hard to beat academy for shotgun shells. I ordered 3 cases yesterday and there was only tax and no shipping. The emails are coming in this morning and it looks like they are shipping all 3 cases separate so they have to be taking a loss on them. The ORMD that is normally on ammo has to be eating that free shipping up. They even shipped the Mojo I ordered separate. I couldn't resist another one for $29/shipped

I order from this link GENE SEARS, and they run a truck every other week to DFW for delivery.

LOL I thought it all went over to the other site but I guess I am wrong. You got me on that one. Either way the only people I know that know of Gene Sears are people with 10-15 years on me.

No AA loads on the 3rd Gen site

Mpw has a good sale plus rebate on hevi metal.

And I use the same round for clays at this time of year. I'm surrounded by Academy's so it works out pretty good

Mineral Wells Wal-Mart had Federals for $4.96 box. Winchester, Remington and Suprema are $5.48 a box. Bought Suprema due to they had a little longer brass,,7.5's with 1oz shot at 1315 fps.

Suprema are the only shells I've bought in 30 years that wouldn't cycle through my A5. The case I bought were a different length than the other shells I had. I had to shoot them in my O/U.

I haven't shot them before so I only bought 6 boxes. If they give me problems in my Outlander I'll shoot them in my O/U.

I heard today that BPS has those crappy red, white and blue shells for $5.

oh, and pink ones if you're identifying that way..

same here, 12 and 28 gauge, $2.00 a case rebate. I've done this the last 3 years, worth the time for great shells

Gebo's has Fiocchi on sale for $4.99 while supplies last. I just picked up several flats to kick off the season...

Just saw academy has 5.99 remington heavy dove.

That's pretty good for 1 1/8 oz. Is that Wally World?

I bought a case at the Gebos in Breckenridge today. I might ought to go buy another tomorrow, that's a pretty good price.

Those are the ticket for me. Even my 3 sons who shoot pumps have noticed that Remington heavy dove shoot better than those dam Winchesters i got last year on a so called good deal. I'll pay $6 a box for Rem heavy dove all day and next year. I shot 9 limits of dove last year and never had a jam. I'm sure I missed another 9 limits trying to get the 9 i went home

If they were a certain amount cheaper id shoot them.

Well I'm stocked now. Got 2 cases of the remington for hunting and 2 of the rios for dusting clays. I know the kids are coming and what better way to spend an afternoon than making bbq and popping clays out of the sky? Listening to the kids talking trash while shooting its my new favorite thing.

I love it when they start trash talking. They grow up so quick.

Out of town friend: "Hey, can you pick up a case of shells for me?"
Me: "Sure, what kind?"
Out of town friend: "Doesn't matter, I'll have my limit before you shoot your first bird."
Me: ... Quietly counting down the days until he opens up a case full of pink shotgun shells

Of course this totally backfires on me if he really does limit first, but I'm willing to take that chance.

I have zero problems with pink boolits. The only boolit problem I have is no boolits.
