Dove hunting: Opening Day

Perfect!! Better than 100 degrees with no clouds and the rain will keep my dog cool.

That forecast will change 10 times between now and then anyway.

I'll hunt between rain showers...

I don't need to see a forecast. It rains a week before dove season every year anywhere I'm going to hunt. At least it's been consistent for the last 35 years.

Frankie has me on speed dial, he already concurred. Almost every year we have storms right before opening day, it comes with it, its tradition.

I gave it up several years ago.

Looks like a cold front that will blow all the birds to the south.

About 3 yrs ago, it rained opening day, the day after I had a buddy itching to go, I almost slept in bc I knew it was going to be a mud mess in the feilds. I said screw it and went anyways, that am I ran into more white wings than I've ever seen in my life w my buddy, it was nuts. IL never forget that hunt that day.

They do good to guess the day to day weather, much less a week or more out

The 30 day forecast is way more accurate than the 7-10 day one
