Looking for a Taxidermist - 03/11/16 04:35 PM
I shot my first pintail this year and am looking to get it mounted. I live in the panhandle but don't know of any good taxidermist. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
Thanks in advance

Me being nice Being nice every once in a while doesn't make you a nice person. I guess you never learned that.

On a serious note. Look at Birdman Studios. He may even be close to you since he is in Trinidad CO. If not ship it off.

Got birds done with both Birdman and Avian Arts.
No question that Avian Arts' quality beats Birdman handily.

I've got a few with Birdman and everything I've seen of his has been outstanding..,and not just from the website
Looking at Avian Arts website the mounts don't look that great IMO but that's just off the website.
Those of you who have had birds with either Birdman or Avian Arts post up pics.

They should have folded the head back ever so slightly for that freshly shot in da face look. Other than that, SOLID mount

Understand shooting waterfowl w .243 is not illegal?
Creative Critters outside of Lubbock is one of the best around. He is not the cheapest and it will take a while to get it back, but it will look great.
