In search of coastal duck hunt guide - 03/08/16 03:46 AM

Looking for guide on the coast that has reasonable success on mottled ducks, cinnamon teal, and redheads. I'm thinking matador.

Pretty sure if you find a guy that claims consistent success on cinnies, he's lying. The other two should be pretty easy. I know a guy but not sure if I can name names if they aren't a site sponsor?

You can name any guide you want, and there are no site sponsors or rules like that.

Captain Kendricks can get you success on 2 out of 3 but the cin teal is not a consistent ordeal on the Texas Coast.

Your best chance at a mottled duck is going to be Southeast Texas. Anahuac to the Louisiana border.

Bobby Luna would be your best bet. He operates around the Corpus area.

Check out Run n Gun Adventures out of Matagorda, went out with them this year and the guides and owner were great. They hunt mostly private lakes, marshes, and rice fields.
